EPJ Literacy & Fitness Academy came to fruition while I was teaching in multiple school districts throughout Cincinnati, OH.  I realized that a lot of the students that I came across weren't strong readers.  I made a choice, that choice was to find the best way I could to impact our future while enjoy doing it.  That led me to my vision, and now dream to open up a preschool that had a heavy emphasis on literacy skills.

 

Along with our emphasis on literacy we also decided to incorporate fitness into our preschool curriculum.  With the world of technology continuing to evolve we see our children becoming more and more stagnate.  If our children aren't into sports or any of the physical creative arts our children are seeing fewer physical movements on a daily basis causing issues in weight gain and a deficit in large motor skills.

We put a strong emphasis on education.  The curriculum we use is called Funshine Express. This curriculum incorporates ASL (American Sign Language) and Spanish so that children learn outside of their 1st language. Is it too early for homework? We don't think so, so don't be surprised when our teachers send your child(ren) home with things they can do at home.  Of course, we aren't looking for them to return it, but we understand that children with parents that are actively involved learn faster and enjoy the process along the way.  If that's not enough to pull you in, EPJ takes it a step further.  Each parent will have access to view their child any time of day with our state-of-the-art camera system right from your smartphone or tablet.  We know that you leave us with your most "Precious Jewels" every day, so we want you to feel like you are always with them with just a few taps of your smart device.
